On June 21, 2008 - Domain name aftermarket Sedo is reporting the sale of Tell.com for $400,000 as part of a big week of domain sales.
On April 10, 2008 — For the first time for sale, SUV.Com is being made available from the original owner for $12 million US dollars.
On March 11, 2008 Clek Media Inc. brokered the sale of the domain FUND.COM for a cool $9,999,950.00 in cash. The domain was bought by Meade Technologies Inc. which is now known as Fund.com Inc.
On January 18 2006 Escom LLC almost beat the record for the world’s most expensive domain name when they wanted to purchas sex.com from owner Gary Kremen for $14 million USD, but the sale did not go through. Sex.com was later bought for an undisclosed amount.
